Our current priorities

FIF advances food security through policy, evidence and accountable institutions. We connect agricultural economics with the human right to food and the practical responsibilities of public decision-makers.

Our present work focuses on Nigeria’s Right to Food Implementation Framework 2026–2030, food-policy research and education, and the development of Canada–Nigeria cooperation. The Framework has been submitted for government consideration. Our programme and partnership proposals are at different stages of development.

Food Policy Economics: A Human Rights Approach, by Professor Gbolagade Ayoola, is in press. Alongside the proposed Framework, it examines how economics, governance and institutional responsibility can inform the response to hunger. Download book information.
